Just got my Gtech!!!

Yes.. Just got My Gtech pro The bad news is that it is snowing again today

Well I read the instructions and this looks fairly easy. I just need a flat remote 1/4mile road that I can test her out on. Does anyone have any USER advice that I need to be aware of??? Any advice would be appreciated as I'm looking to get a baseline before doing any mods (cai, headers, sways).

i cannot answer your question re your g tech but, being a former s.i. resident, do not go on the west shore, try 440, used to be unpatrolled.

I was thinking about the service road next to the expressway. When I come home I go over the Gothals bridge, the first exit in S.I. has a service road with a 1/4 mile marked off! That should work....

I am under the impression that you have to know the exact weight of the car - is that true?

No you don't need the weight for timed runs. Just to use the HP calculation.

As for pointer, mount it and align it on a known flat surface, like a garage floor. Then find a flat road and test out the terrain first by stopping at various point in the path and see if the reading stays at zero or close. Before you launch make sure it is zero'd or close and aligned. Next, have fun...
