Just got my 2k3, bose speaker question...
Hey guys,
I just picked up my 2003 CL-S! On certain songs I get a a rattle/distortion in the left rear 6x9 speaker. Is this normal or should I make the dealer aware of this? I only hear it on certain songs, but my thought is why does only one do it...
Thanks,
Robert

First off, congrats. on the purchase!!!
The problem you're experiencing doesn't sound normal. I'd hate to say take it in, seeing as how you just bought it. But you should be happy with your purchase... I say take it in, reproduce the problem for them and have them look into the issue.

If u just tell em about it hoping on them finding it, chances he'll come back saying "sorry, couldnt reproduce the rattle..."

Dude- I know what the problem is. The same shit happened to me. Certain bass frequencies cause vibration more than others. At first I thought it was a blown speaker cause it was sort of a "farting" noise.
Put one of the songs on that makes the noise, turn it up loud and get in the back seat. What it most likely is....is the rear deck lid vibrating against your rear window. Mess around with it (in other words, place your hand firmly on things until you find the area that stops the rattle.
It could be the grill, or BOSE emblem mentioned before, however, in my case it was the rear deck lid. All I did to remedy the situation was fold a gray rag in threes and wedge it between the window and the deck lid. Havent heard a fart yet... well the only farts come from front seat now. Its coming from under my seat, but Im still unsure what the hell it is or where its coming from!
Hope this solves your issue!
Peace
