Just finish AEM CAI Install
Started at 2:10 i just gotta tighten everything up and put the filter on. Took forever, Chods directions were great, without my dad I would have had a lot of trouble. I hope it was worth it, Ill see later tonight after dinner. Thanks for the DIY Chod! And we did it with no jack, just uncomfortable under there.

All i gotta say is damn i love this intake, the growl is amazing..... i love the sound when shutting the car off, well worth the $183
I just love it, im just hoping its installed correctly, but everything seems fine for now. How often do I need to clean the filter?

Yup the hard stuff was under the splash guard and stuff, the car wasnt lifted at all, and it was hard as hell to get one of the bolts of the resonator cuz of it. Also, I used all the parts except have one extra clamp. I have a clamp on the filter, all the tubes, and the the rubber sleeve. I dont know where one is missing.

u should have 1 large clamp connecting the filter, 2 large clamps connecting the bypass valve(if you even have one) and 2 large clamps connecting the pipe to the throttle body. is it a large or a small clamp that you have left over?

i dont have a bypass valve, all those things are clamped that u mentioned, the one left over is large. Other thing is, sometimes at idle it feels like its rumbling under my seat for a second then goes back to normal. Also it sometimes has like this suckin in air sound in idle for like 10 seconds then goes back to normal, happens at random times. Also the air condition makes some extra noise now too. Is that all just normal. Should I drive the car like a champ now since the battery was reset, or does that not matter at all.

if you have a hose left over, you may have forgotten to re-run one hose... lemme see if I can find the thread that explains it.
I think chod initially had his instructions incorrect, and he had since updated them, at any rate, lemme find the thread..

I used the one that should of been correct. I just went to Chods sig and click on the links till i found AEM CAI DIY. Is it a big deal if one of the tubes wasnt re-run. I re-ran two tubes that came with the CAI. I dont know what else could be clamped. Clamped the rubber sleeve, the two re-run wires, and filter. Wonder what is wrong.
