When I initially turn my lights on they both match,they're blue after thirty seconds or so one turns a purply pink and isn't as bright as the other what causes this? And how do I update the navigations streets and maps? And last,are the headlights and tail lights from the 03 interchangablewith the 01? And just a thought I've had my 97 cl 3.0 for 3 years and why is it that the stereo in it blows the,

The head lights in the type s are HID, they take a little bit to warm up. That is why there is a change. Don't know that they get weaker, they usually ignite and get brighter after a few seconds.

As far a nav, I have no idea.

Lights from an 01,02,03 are interchangable.

Do they sell different colors then lol? Maybe the previous owner bought a purple one! I can't figure it out I just know it's tacky looking lol thanks for the help with that lol this is all new to me

It sounds like one of them is about to go bad, it has lost some gas. Be prepared to replace them. Do both at the same time to guarantee a color match.

just order the cheap bulbs on ebay for like 30 bucks a pair. I've had them for about 2 years now and no problem what so ever.

Good price on map update. How much do the real headlights normally run? Anyway to make the factory bose hit a lil harder w/out installing aftermarket speakers? Id like to take the sub and amp out of a tl and custom fit it inbetween the 6x9s but don't know if it'd be worth the trouble lol.

Are the letters/numbers like d1-d4 around the shifter suppose to light up? They do in my 1st generation lol.

I had a 97 CL also and I thought the same thing the stereo system in that sounds better than the oem system in the 01-03.

The Bose stereo in the 2nd gen CL/TL sucks, it really does. The RL Bose system is light-years better.

It only minorly sucks after you add a subwoofer.

Your light is going bad, but I would personally not buy the cheap HIDs. If you search ebay look for japanese or american made bulbs. The oem bulbs are expensive from the dealer, but you can buy something in between the dealer-rape price and the bottom-of-the-barrel crap.

After I got home from work today, I came in changed close took maybe 20 minutes, decided to go back out and grab a bite to eat, went outside started the car, and it suddenly died, started it back up and it was fine. I pulled into applebees, maybe 10 minutes from my house, was in there all of an hour or so, and went outside and started the car, and get the same thing. Mind you I run 93 octane in both my 97 and the 01 type s. And the 01 that I am referring to here has only 94,000 miles on it, was a one owner a older bussiness man owned it prior to me, and traded it for a new benz if that says anything. What could cause this problem? Seeing as Im unfamiliar with car, are there any recalls that could cause this? And second, when Im pushing the gas pedal about halfway down, when it shifts into either 2nd or 3rd it jerks, is this normal, I will say the tranny mount along with two other mounts in the vehicle are bad. But could bad mounts cause this? Any advice is really appreciated Im just very scared because Im looking at it like I just got this car 3 days ago and got this loan, and I cannot afford to replace stuff on it right now. Thanks in advance.

Ive got a pair of OE bulbs if youre interested. Im not sure how many hours are on them but they were good when I pulled them out.

1. Sounds like you either have a bulb going bad or someone put an aftermarket one in and they don't match. Deff replace in a pair.

2. Headlights and tail lights can be swapped from '01 and '03, everyone does it. I did!

3. You'd be amazed how much the sound improves with a new head unit and a decent sub.

4. As far as your transmission issue. Go to your local Acura dealer. The warranty on those auto's has been extended, so get it in before its too late. The new rebuilds they are putting in are supposed to be bullet proof...we'll see, haha.

Back in 01 i shattered my HID bulb in my S2000. It was over $200. I'll call my dealer tomorrow or u can call yours like most owners do... . Look at owners manual get siz and look for it then on ebay. Remember stock color is 4300k.
