yep. i just bought a fresh acura cl type s. 2001 with 115000 miles for 3800. auto tranny. no navi (good thing). the only downside is that the arm rest is getting raped by the sun so im going to replace that. just got new tint at my local dealer for 50 bucks.(employee discount). and i just joined acurazine after lurking for a couple months sooo yeah.
will post pics later on when i find my damn camera.
also, how can i get a better turning radius? and how can i reduce weight in this fat bitch?
thanks guys, peace and love

sorry about that. it was two seperate questions. 1st. how can i lighten my cl without making it look like crap?
2nd. my friend has a nissan 240sx and he cut and welded somthing so his turning radius went past 45 degree angle. i guess i could ask him but i will most likley forget.
im sooooooo exited to start working on her. her name is roxanne

as far as the turning radius goes, this is a fwd car and the axles can only bend so much.
That why the turning radius is always limited on fwd cars.
you can possibly make the tires turn a little bit more, but moving the car while at full turn will cause ur axles to go bad very fast.

You cant reduce the turning radius without serious modification which noone does.
As for weight there are some options it just matters how far you want to go. Easiest way to lose some weight is lighter wheels. THe stock wheels are around 26 lbs a piece and that is rotational mass. I put on 18x8.5 rims that weigh 18 lbs each. You can remove the spare tire, jack, tools. Then you can remove the dampner from the front bumper. Also you can gut the trunk, remove back seat, remove plastic from trunk and under hood. Lightweight battery. Carbon fiber hood or trunk. The stock Cl seats are over 60 lbs a piece. I bought myself a recaro bucket that weighs 10 lbs.
I will link a weight loss thread for a TL but it is basically the ssame as the CL. This is the most comprehensive weight loss thread I have seen and i took some pointers from it.

I would recommend saving up for a new tranny when it will be needed. Also when it goes out if you keep the car don't put another defective CL tranny in. Use the Odyssey or TL tranny.
Mod wise I always recommend suspension first.

I think you are talking about a common mod for 240s which is a welded differential. It is done mostly on cars that are regularly drifted because it makes it much easier to get the back to kick out. Does your friends car make a rubbing noise when he takes a U-turn or a tight turn? That is a common telltale of a welded diff.
