I like the inside... a lot more like the Jags & Aston Martins of yester-year... rather then the plasticky crap inside the S-Type.

I want a S-Type with a X-Type interior

too bad, the detail car spec won't be released until summer... according to the info, the v6 3.0 engine is based on the s-type which is derived from ford's duratec engine... wondering how good it is, and how many horses/torque it produces.

but just by looking at the inside and all of the features, it already has part of my heart... but I still love my CLS very much

I think the rear of the new Jags are sharing too many lines with their "partners", Ford. If I purchased a Jag I would not want the rear to look like a Taurus.

OK i wanted that X-type but then i found a jaguar forum... and i cant belive how many people complain about their jags. The worst is the S-type, the owners of that car have had troubles with everything. So no Jaguar for me... EVER!

I read an article from somewhere that imagined Sting sitting like an elitist in a jaguar and it went something like:

"Driver, roll up the windows, the commoners are approaching..."

but ah I think Sting kicks ass though

There's a nice review in the april M otor Trend but 30k will only get you the 2.5.According to them a fully loaded 3.0 Sport model will top out at"just north of 40k.0 to 60 estimate by Motor Trend is 6.6 No thanks'i'll stick with the CLS.

I agree with Stravis, it looks a bit too "Fordish" from the rear. The interior, however, looks sensational! Much better than the S-Type. Also, has anyone noticed that the X-Type with the sport package comes with "wood" that looks extremely similar to the bowling ball wood that comes on the CL-S? Generally, the car looks nice, but I'd much rather have an Acura Type S(TL or CL).After being the unfortunate owner of an '87 Sterling(literally EVERY component except the Honda engine had some type of problem), British reliability and quality just scares me.....

From experience, don't buy a Jag. Ford has actually helped their quality control but they have a loooonnnnggg way to go. JMO.
