Oh yeah... The thing prolly weighs 3280 lbs... maybe a little more, that's a good 200 lbs weight savings over the Type-S. Should be running .2 seconds faster than a Type-S in the quarter.
(Tranny was swapped too from what I understand)

I would think so...I mean they just took the new CL engine and put it into a lighter body car. So its like taking that weight off your car...it ought to be faster. Imagine that with comptech headers and then the supercharger whenever that thing comes out!

How come they said on the other thread it's a Type S enigne. I think it's just the regular 99+ TL or 2001 CL motor. As you can see on the pic the intake manifold is different from the Type S intake manifold. Anyways, good job on the swapped got to give credits for that...

thats the origianl engine they even siad they have no pics yet. that was befire they took the car apart to fit a j32 engine into it.

Come on people. If any of you thought that was a Type S engine, then you've never raised your hood.
Two thing stand out immediately.
#1 - Direct Ignition is a dead giveaway. No visible spark plug wires on the Type S.
#2 - The frickin' engine cover It's not even close. 'Nuff said.
