I've made my final money spending decisions........conservative, but smart!!!!!

I've come to the realization that I probably won't be able to buy another car within the next 2 years, so I'm going to "play" with the CL. Afterall........I've had it for almost 2 years and I only have 18K miles.

Rims.........Keep my Hagens and get them dipped this winter=$700

Sound System.......Buy the JL components and the 300/4 amp and have the trunk tricked out=$1500(probably done in a week or two)

Body Kit........Buy the TL kit at the begining of spring and have it worked to fit my car=$1500-$2000

Performance Mods.......Comptech sways this spring.....and maybe the headers=$1800 installed.

Grand total of.........$6000

don't pay that much to get your wheels chromed.

your estimate on headers and sways seems real high too.

but i guess it's better to overestimate. :goyou:

Nicky get the sways done ASAP... there are well worth it and you will love the new feel, there are also the cheapest mod on that list. I agree with waiting on the headers as well, no need to have LESS control in the snow.

Garage Kwai will install the headers and sways for ~$200 total.

Dude, even if you're keeping the CL as a daily driver or whatever, $6k can go a long way when it comes to buying a nice "toy" (which I assume means a nice sports car right?).

That's like two options packages for any brand of car (even BMW).

I like my car payment where it is........below $270. If I were to buy a BMW I'd be fucked because I still owe $8800. If I get 22K that means I only have like $13Kish to put down......give or take. I put almost $20K down on the $30K CL-S.........My payments would be like double.....ATLEAST then add insurance......I just can't see spending over $600 per month on a car

IMO, just save the money and put it towards a down payment on a home when you graduate and have a full time job.

This will go much further in the long run. No need to get out of school and live in an apartment with a nice car; a decent home you own is always more impressive than a nice ride...

Again, IMO...
