wow. I'd think that at $11,500, there's enough there to fix up a couple dings, re-weld the header, fix the seat, repaint the car, and still make some bucks off it. That, or I'm trying to justify to myself that my car hasn't lost as much in depreciation as it probably has.
I guess your new truck will take the abuse better...

Hopefully they lowered the price on the truck alot. It looks like they will make a killing on the resale of your CLS. They could have given you the truck below invoice and just made up the difference on the trade in. Couple thousand worth of repairs, and they'll have it on the lot (or at auction) for 20K.

The F-150 is nice. Too things: I wish it had the five-speed automatic and weighed a bit less. I checked one out at the dealer and the interior is NICE. Too bad Ford cannot put that quality of interior or ride quality in their cars. As with any car I will wait a year for them to work out the bugs first. Good luck be sure to get the dealer Scotchguard and protection package. :P

sorry but.... wtf? Why did you treat your car like that?

For what most people need, it is more than enough truck. Not to mention better quality and reliability.
I wonder if the new F-150 will crash like a tin can.

congrats on the new ford F-150, that really IS the best truck engineered truck around...i dont care what anyone says. im not a ford guy personally, i drive a dodge Ram but i have alot of respect for what ford did with the new F-150, its sweet.
as far as the CL...holy shit, how did you trash that car so bad??? and why????? and even in that condition you shouldve been able to get at least 15 on trade in for that thing. wow, thats the lowest trade in anyone has ever seen for a CL-S

that car was on its deathbed but thats what city driving and 50+ runs at the track will do, and the wipers stopped working.
A-the tundra and the titan are fuckin ugly in my opinion
B-ford trucks last forever because my bronco has 190k on the original motor, tranny, drivetrain etc and its not leaking or smoking anything.
C-the interior on the new ford is a lot nicer than that of tundra and the titan

I hope the new 04 design is more acceptable than this:
Appearance and interior don't help much in a tin can. Have to wait until a new F150 is tested and see how well Ford 'engineered' this one.
But if safety is not an issue ... :whocares:
