Issue With ballast WIRES

So my headlight went out,

So I switched the bulbs too find out it was the ballast

So I replaced the ballast

But The thing is it woulnt work so I tested the wires and this is my issue it seems like there is not enought voltage getting to it cause my test light is not bright at all

any suggestions?

i think our ballast have an ignitor built in. right?

it cant be a relay if its getting even a little bit of power.
try hot wiring the ballast and see if it work thens.

^^ Ha ha, there all off right now I got sick of them, for now

Yeah, it works when I hook it straight to the battery, and the ignitor is built into the ballast.

I dont really know much about relays but thats why im asking cause I cant think of anything else

When you check to see if there is power going to the wires do you stab them??

My buddy was fixing his sisters car once who was having a similar issue and it turns out that water had gotten into one of those little holes that had been poked in and rusted the wire.

congrats on the new job, definitely sounds like a loose wire somewhere or bad ground
