Island Dragway N.J. Ever been there?

Just wondering if anyone has ever been to island Dragway in Greatmeadows N.J.?
I have been there a few times in the past few years helping my friend run his Blazer there. I know they allow street legal racers there. Seen people run Eclipses and what-nots. Might be a cool place to have a meet, if there is anyone local. They have digital Elapsed time read-out and you also get a printed time sheets.

Just something to think about since Spring is just around the corner for us in the NorthEast. (yeah, right...)

FYI: It is located about 15 to 20 miles from the PA border around RT. 80..

Never heard of it, but E-town seems to be easy enough to get to.

I havent gotten a chance to make it to any of the meets yet, but I cant wait. And the drags seem like a different place to meet.

Ive been there about 4 or 5 times... I like it. I can get 5 to 6 runs in about 2 to 3 hrs... Its better than going to E-Town and gettin 1 run in 3 hrs..

YEah, that is soo true. It is never overly busy there. Kinda in the middle of some farm fields and you can pass it and never know it was there.

i go to island, and e-town all the time.... you'll get A LOT more runs at island then e-town (easy 12 runs most of the time) if you wanna do that to your car.... island is real "country" though, e-town is more urban... so far the best times i ran are at e-town, i beleive the track grips better, but there's so many factors involved, so i can't really say... island is the place you wanna be if your a newbie, or you wanna practice diff. launching techniques, etc.... and, it won't be as embarassing if you misshift

That place is a LOT closer for me.
45 minutes versus nearly TWO HOURS for E-Town.

I vote Island Dragway for the next racing meet.

That's the one caveat with Etown. If someone sneezes on one spot on the track, they bring out the jet dry truck and spend about 30 minutes to dry the WHOLE track.

Hey whats up, you'll be like 10 minutes from me. Bayville is like the next town over, I'm in Lacey (exit 74 off GSP). Atco is about 45min south of me. I take all back roads there. When they open back up if you want you can follow me there.

Its not exactly E-town, but it doesn't sound as small as island dragway. Not so many people that you'll be embarrassed if you screw up haha. Certain nights are busy, but even on a busy night you can get in like 5 or 6 runs. On an off night you can practically run as much as you want. I ran a 14.8 there. Its mostly amatures. Alot of unique cars go there .. not like english town where its mostly hundreds of muscle cars setup for drag.

Yeah I'm down with trying both places this year for some meets. Change of scenery is always great.
