Well, it's not like it's the one and only 2002 IS300. It's only an addition to the rest of the IS300 line, for those that need the utility of a wagon. Yeah, people who actually have an active life away from their car actually do exist.

Look at it this way: Lexus cares enough about us to keep supporting us with stuff that we want, with a 5-speed manual available this August, 18" wheels, a choice of seating surfaces (cloth vs. leather/Ecsaine vs. full leather), L-tuned full factory-warrantied mods, TRD limited-warrantied mods, and an upcoming (don't know if it's going to be L-tuned/TRD/Kazama) supercharger.

Like I told gavril once, there will be no 2JZ-GE (I6) in the current (convertible) SC platform. However, a 2JZ-GE or even the 2JZ-GTE (you can guess at the "T") in a coupe variation of the IS300 platform (actually, better known as the Progres platform) is likely, and will be called the SC300.

Actually, an identicle IS300 was at the NY Auto Show. I was at the show yesterday (Friday) and took a look at it. As far as wagons, well I'm not a fan. But the IS300 wagon (what do they actually call it? Sports something?) wasn't a bad looking car, for a wagon. Looks better in person than in that pic.

By the way, anyone ever see an Audi A4 wagon (I forget what they call theirs too....maybe Avant?) that has been out for a while now? To my eyes, it's the best looking wagon I've ever seen. If I definitely HAD to buy a wagon, that's the one I would get, based on looks alone.......

i m trading my car in for a S2000 or S4 soon... But today i drove my god bro's 01 GS430... the ride feels ABOUT the same as my avalon. BUT it s MUCH MUCH MUCH more quieter and Smoother.. he s got the Mark Ev sound system.. it sounds NICE!! for just a 12"
i like his auto-adjustable HID and auto-Steering wheel. HEHE NOW i might trade my car in for either S2000, S4, or a GS =)
but Well even tho IS is ugly and with all the fake leather and stuff... but it s still a fun car to drive =) I DONT MIND HAVING IT FOR 10G =)

 

I still think IS300s look good. I wouldnt buy the wagon one, but the regular one still looks good to me.
