the is300 is nice, made in Japan, handles great. But, it can't match the acceleration of a 330.

 

I race the IS300 on I-275 here in Michigan. there is noway they can able to beat us (stock vs stock).

 

Look at the times those guys have posted in thier Sig's...

15.2 (for a MANUAL)- 15.3, etc.

I ran a 14.8 w/CAI only on a WET track. How could there be any question??

 

I think I'm going to purposely drive around with my video camera and 100 bucks in my pocket and find some IS300 asswhipe and challenge him to a race for money.

The end result will be 200 dollars in my pocket and a kick ass video that I'll send around to CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX.

Reading that site made me realize that I just wasted a bunch of minutes of my life and I want them back. There was not a single factually correct statement on there and some of the most retarded claims ever and I now feel dumber than I was before.

 

What a bunch of idiots! The IS300 is the slowest car in it's class. I need to find that dumbass in Houston so I can rape him!

Of course, we have the same type of people on this board who beatup on M3s and other rides... And think the CLS is unstopable.

Hmm, so the IS is sooooooooooo slow. Maybe you guys need to trade in your CL-S for a Firebird (great deals nowadays) and pick on all SLOW cars.

Fact is, the IS has recieved rave reviews from ALL the automotive press. It also is a DEDICATED platform, not a modified Corolla platform (for instance your Accord roots). A car is not all about 0-60. Hell, most all sports sedans were as "slow"as the IS until recently.

And it's real funny as there are the tranny failures and rumors of the CLs demise left and right.

I agree, some of those IS dudes are nuts, I am not sure WHY there is a racing forum (as it will be more losses than wins)
