for a European car I would completely agree with you but I really don't think it's necessary for a Japanese car...IMO, anyway.

For $24k the WRX i very hard to beat if you dont HAVE to have all the interior amenities that your CL-S had. And you can get one brand new with low financing. The IS's are nice, but arent any bigger than a WRX and awd in the rain would be a helluva lot safer & easier to drive than a poor weight distribution manual rwd car (trust me, I know).

didnt know the IS is high 14s stock

And you people should be the last to talk about reliability. Get the car thats fun to drive, we are all young and have time to bring it to the dealer once and awhile. Its all good.
But my Audi or bmw had yet to see the dealer for anything, so they were good to me.
Hell there is a guy with 400k on his bmw on euroteknik.

Saw a red one today with bodykit and tints and looks really nice.
and with the six speed and the 240 hp V6 it runs mid to high 14's from the factory.

yep Z's exhaust stock sounds great. same with g35c, and if you listen to that FX truck it sounds the same way.

i don't know if a lot of people will agree with me on this one...but the is300 L-tuned package looks VERY nice...i know the pricing is ridiculous (6k more for the upper options if i remember correctly)..but the kit is one of the nicest ive ever seen on a stock car..looks aggressive but simple at the same time..rims are nice as well

but as stated before..the package is way overpriced..as for build quality..i like the feeling of my cls better than any IS ive sat in....the IS is just too...small and compact for me.

by the way..how does a stock 04 accord 6spd and cls 6spd compare to each other 1/4 mile wise?

I think I've heard of some accord 6SPDs doing like 14.6-14.7 .. which is not far off CLS numbers. they are lighter tho. CLS=20 more HP but heavier.

The L-tuned package for the IS300 is nice. Like your said, its simple but still aggressive. As for 04 accord 6sp vs. an cls 6spd, I believe its drivers race.

who is "you people"? don't even try to compare reliability with bm's and esp audi's!
haven't seen many chpd 1.8 break into the 14's?
15.1 maybe
ne ways, have fun spending on repairs, i'd rather spend that extra money on other things :blaze:

IS300s are sweet, my buddy has had two... he had a 01 Automatic then traded it for a 02 5 speed... He ran intake and a greddy evo until he got SRT stage 1 turbo, it puts 302 to the wheels.
He loves his car and wouldnt' trade it for anything, but it doesn't move at all in the lightest amount of snow...

If I were you Id get a used S4 and just deal with the reliability issues, they are such hot cars... Imola yellow or Nogaro blue are def. winners.
