Cool Introduction

Peace Peace CL board members.
I just picked up my 01 CL-s yesterday and I'm looking forward to having a good time/long relationship with her. I've been lurking on the boards here for a minute to get aquainted with what I was getting myself into. Now that it's official, I figured I say hello.
I used to be on Acura-Legend dot com under mikemike71. I'm a paraplegic and use adaptive hand controls. I probably won't get real crazy with mods, but I do want to spice it up a little bit. I'll post some pics soon, but I just wanted to say hello for now.
Welll while I'm on, quick question:
Does anyone know anything about the removal of the seats? I know in the Legend it was a pretty straight forward procedure. Unbolt, unplug and pull it out. The reason I ask is because I may need a little more clearance behind the drivers seat for storing my wheelchair. I'd like to know how difficult it may be to either move the tracks up about 3 inches or replace with a longer track that would allow me to bring the seat forward about 3 additional inches and maybe back 2 inches to compensate for my 6'2" frame?

Hey there Mike, Welcome to the forum...

I'm not really sure what to do about the seat... Don't think we've had anyone re-locate the seats yet.

Rmpage has hand controls, but he has the 4 door TSX, so he just grabs his chair from the rear door...

I do know that if you lift the seatbelt hook on the side of the seat the seat moves up quite a bit to allow for access to the back seat...

Welcome to the boards and congrats on your CL Looking forward to the pics...what color is it?

As far as the seat removal goes...judging by the Helms, there's 4 bolts holding it in place and there's 3 connectors under the seat. It doesn't look like it would be too hard to remove the seat though. If you want, i can scan the page and post or email it so you can get a clear pic of it.

thanks

Thanks for all the love!
03silvertypeS, please do post or send me that page out of Helms. That would be a great help. Thanks
Oh yeah, it's Silver on Ebony or Platinum on Onyx as I prefer to think of it.

Silver w/ Ebony is same as me, definitely a nice choice, here's the page on seat removal from the helm's, hope it helps (sorry it's such a big image, but at least you can read it) i figured photobucket would've resized it. If you need anything else, let me know.

Welcome man. You'll enjoy the car. Can you get some pictures of the adaptations? That would be neat to see how they do it.
