Intro from a Newb

Hi everyone.

New to the forum and the Acura scene. Just purchased a 2003 Black 3.2 CL Type-S. I got the 6-speed with navigation. I absolutley love the car so far and cannot wait to start making some tasteful mods to it. I have had a very good experience with Honda's -- my first car was a 93 civic hatchback which I sadly cannot say was too tasteful.

I recently graduated to the CL from my 95 Jetta -- good car, but I dumped it at the right time...found out 3 months after I sold it that the tranny went.

In any event, I hope this forum is as good as the forums I belonged to in the past, here is a similiar pic of what my car looks like -- bone stock CL (for now):

I do have a couple questions though:

1) What websites do you go to for cheap discount parts (and also aftermarket parts)?
2) Does anyone know of a way to use the existing NAV screen for other things like DVD, etc...
3) Where can I get OEM rubber floormats (if there is such a thing)?

Thanks.

Check out the offtopic section for the black market (group buy) forum and the A/V forum... You should be able to find some answers for your questions there...

Juniorbean has the all weather mats for $49 here:

http://www.c-c-c.net/CustomCarCreati...Page/index.htm (click in CL then acura accessories, last item on the page)...

Start with Intake, Headers, and the Crank Pulley. I have Groupbuys on most of these items in the Off Topic section and I am an Official Vendor for Acurazine. PM me with specific questions.

Oh man I forgot what my car looked like stock Nothing against your purchase it just makes me appreciate how much better it looks with mods
My first two mods were intake and springs/struts. I would really recommend the spring/struts to get rid of the 4X4 stance

Close -- 39,000 miles

And thanks for the warm welcome. Already this site has prooved to be of worth to me. I have learned a good bit about the car and I absolutley do love it. I think I decided on my first mods too based on the threads I have read:

1) XM Commander mounted in the sunglass holder.
2) 8 inch sub between the rear seats.
3) Navi to Video conversion.
4) (Spring 06) Tein Basic Coilovers / Camber kit

That should hold me over for a while, or just get me started -- either way I will be happy.

I thought that was a pic of the exact car. I saw that it was for sale on ebay from Open Road and was like WTF?

Now I get it.

Good luck, 6-Speed Navis are hard to come by.
Sounds like you already have some plans for it.
