What are you guys talking about? NSX's are NOT FAST! Either way it looks like he missed a shift or something... the integra didnt even put a car on him... The teg was most likely turbo going against a stock NSX...

What do NSX's run stock? 13.5s?

The newest NSXs run mid 13s stock. Teg T-Rs are upper 14s.

Well duh.

But it is true for the money you pay you'd expect the NSX to be a bit quicker then it comes stock. Reguardless if its hand made and shit.

Cool vid though.

You guys are forgeting about the corners, unless all of the roads near you are straight lines. The NSX is plenty fast. Comptech would love $10K of your cheese to make it even faster if you'd like.

depends which year nsx you're talking about. not exactly sure about this but pre-1997 the nsx wasn't all that fast. post 1997 they can run very low 13s.

I seem to recall a Best Motoring video where they ran a JDM NSX Typer R (?) against a Nissan Skyline R34 GTR and the NSX beat it by a car length in the 400m. And the R34 GTR runs mid-low 13s stock. So I would think that upper 12s is well within reach of the NSX.

Welp the integra was boosted in some way, supercharger?? Remember teg's have a distinct weight advantage so adding power the teg isn't the same as adding power to the NSX.

And a low 13 is fast? Mildly modded GT Mustangs can run low 13's..

On the drag strip and on the highway, you dont want to try and win in an NSX. No one argues its' handling ability.

Here it is: http://www.racingflix.com/getvideo.asp?v=376

Again, it was a 400m (1312ft) drag where the NSX R beat the R34 GTR by about 1.5 car lengths (12.805sec vs 12.945sec). Being a BIG Skyline fan, I was surprised BIGTIME!!

well if it had a turbo how much faster would the integra go..

a 2000 TYpe- R stock is

0-60sec 6.2
1/4 mile 14.8

turbo should help it go to mid 5 im guessing
and 1/4mile maybe low 14s or high 13s. im guessing anybody know?

if i am right then the NSX should beat it so thats why i dont think he pushed it.

you can boost the fook outta ITRs....very possible that on a highway run the LIGHTER Teg takes the NSX.

you've seen the vid of the boosted CIVIC taking out Treynor's<sp> SUPERCHARGE viper??????????????

But a little thing called aerodynamics plays a small but important part at high speeds; especially when it comes to stability and downforce. Most folks dont appreciate the value of aerodynamics through sprints, drag races and autocross. Go banzai and you'll appreciate it MUCH more.

I saw that video (Civic vs Viper); that's the one filmed by the Viper's passenger while racing the Civic Hatch. Very impressive sprint. But its mainly impressive because of the Civic's humble origins versus the Viper's purpose-built nature. On a wide open freeway, that Viper will still take the Civic.

not sure if i really understand what you are trying to say. I've seen my friends built civic ex coupe w/ JDM spec GSR engine take an NSX on straightaway (oval racetrack).

It's simple Power:Weight.

Civic beat the Viper every single time. So i'm not sure how you think the Viper will win???? We are talking from a roll.

Aero does play a factor but the NSX wasn't racing a honda element.....ITRs by nature aren't that poorly designed in the aero dynamics. IMHO i don't believe it's playing any role in that video.

Actually i have run with a nsx in my gsr, pretty much a drivers race till 115-120 mph then the nsx started to pull. Bear in mind my gsr has 190 whp (non turbo or supercharge, and no cheating nos system).

The integra type r does not run 6.2 0-60 by the way, try maybe 6.7.

e 36 m3 i beat
E 46 still beats me, but on the race track i beat the living shit out of them. I actually catch them sometimes on the back straight in acceraltion.

As for the sti, off the line they roast me, in gear there a bit quicker. On the track am faster.

Can you see that mostly i run this car on the track.

As for the nsx, it was in a bunch of different ways, rolling and from a stop.

yes from my gsr. Not sure what you mean by hooked up?

But its with these mods

3 angle valve job, port and polished head
skunk2 stage 2 cam
skunk2 cam gears
skunk2 titanium valve springs and retainers
Skunk2 Intake manifold
Hondata insulted intake manifold gasket
Comptech s.s.header
lightspeed pro series exhaust
Comptech test pipe
Jdm 4.79 final drive
Spoon sports thermostat
Spoon sports thermo switch
denso irridium plugs, 1 range colder then stock
Clutch master 9lbs flywheel
Centerforce clutch
Aem pulleys
Hondata ecu
P-28 ecu, converted to OBD I
8 hours of dyno tunning
190 whp @ 8400 with test pipe
186 Whp @ 8400 with stock cat

car weighs approx 2450
Fibreglass jdm front end
race seats instead of stock
A/C removed
Misc components removed

As you can see this is not an average gsr. THat is just a part of the mods done to this car.
