Intake upgrade..any suggestions?

Hey,

I did couple of searches but did not find a ton of info...

Anyway I was looking for some info on which intake works the best for my 03' CL-S.

I was leaning towards the AEM CAI, but I wanted to make sure this is the best choice.

What do you think?

aem is the loudest, as comptech is just a tad louder then stock, but the comptech one performs better.

search...this has been beaten to death.

to make it easy, most of what you will find will be aem for sound, icebox for power.

Ehh marketing... I have the AEM, I love the power and sound. The power b/t both intakes is negligible, it's better to compare price vs. price.

It's easier to get to the Comptech air filter.

I have the AEM, and if I had to do it again, I'd put in the Comptech.

If and when the AEM breaks, I'll put in a Comptech.

As you said, the sound of the AEM is great, but getting to the filter is not as easy as it should be. In that regard, the Comptech wins hand down.

The AEM does make an awesome sound (“Talledaga 500 special”) at WOT and 6K. On a cold day, it will definitely get the attention of "marginal" drivers next to you.
