go to autocarparts.com or landspeedracing.com and get an aem cai. I've got the aem for my cl-s and LOVE it. You won't find anyone on this board who doesn't appreciate this mod, especially for the bucks!!

BTW-welcome to the board and happy motoring.

Shane,

Good to see another Hawaii member on here. As for the intake, a CAI is the best type of intake. AEM is considered by some the best that has to offer thus far, although I think Injen is just as good. The intake will be louder than stock when in VTEC range. You won't feel a kick in the back like a turbo rush, but you'll notice a nice constant acceleration once VTEC hits. The engine does not feel labored. Dynos of CAI are generally better than underhood intake, thus expect anywhere between 6-10 HP peak on the average.

If you're worried about hydrolock, although I don't see why you should be, then you can consider the Weapon-R's Cold Air Box. Similar in principle to the CAI concept, but without the issue of Hydrolock. HP similar to AEM, but has a louder hum at idle.
