When I got for an intake, I'm gonna go for a short RAM - Satin has one and he says it's just as good as a CAI.
However, remember that an intake is an intake. The only thing of importance is the filter, and from Moo's dynos, it seems the filter makes a HUGE difference. Do a search on "dyno Injen cold" and you'll find his post with the dynos.
And - welcome back???

(If you toss on an AEM bypass valve to make sure you don't suck in water, count on losing plenty of HP from the turbulence and hot engine air that the bypass valve lets in under wide open throttle...)
However, if you live, work, or drive in a “wet” area and add an AEM air-bypass, you might want to think about getting the Weapon-R short ram with Cold-air box (when ready [could be ready now or soon]). It is good to go as-is, and makes similar power (compared to the Injen and AEM), and you would have to drive the car with water way OVER the tires to suck in any water...
(I have an AEM CAI on the car *and* a box in the house with the bypass valve that isn’t going on…)

Moo has the dyno for the Weapon-R short ram w/cold box. I actually scaled the Weapon-R dyno against Mike's header + CAI vs. header and the areas are very close (IMO -- too close to find any real difference between them).
Weapon-R w/cold-box:
A dyno translate/scale/splice/merge job AEM vs. Weapon-R
As for the Injen dyno on our car????

Re: Weapon-R, AEM vs. Weapon-R, Injen ???
Aah yes - my bad. It was the Weapon R that moo did the dyno with the different filters. Good catch!

The baseline is set by the headers on Mike's car (yes/no)?
So, the area that should be considered should be that gained by the CAI (AEM vs. Weapon-R) -- Yes/No?
I first scaled the Weapon-R in X and Y directions to "match" the units (as close as I could).
I then translated (with a small rotation) the Weapon-R graph to position it over Mike's Header vs. Header + CAI.
So, the question is why Moo's headers are not making as much power as Mike's (yes/no)?

Weapon-R + cold box vs. AEM/Injen price -> (Weapon-R is more expensive)
Weapon-R + cold box vs. AEM/Injen power -> (close enough)
Weapon-R + cold box vs. AEM/Injen sound -> (Weapon-R sounds like UFO at idle)
Weapon-R +cold box vs. AEM/Injen hydrolock issues --> (Weapon-R doesn't need a bypass valve to keep water from wrecking engine and the bypass valve is a real power robber [let's see AEM publish some dynos with the hood closed on a CLS with a bypass installed])
Hopefully, “Moo” will put up a .wav file (at some point) with the sound of the Weapon-R on the CLS (at idle and WOT)…
And someone will finally dyno the Injen on the CLS…

When I bought my AEM cai last weekend, Alta sport, had both the silver AEM and Injen cai in stock. They were both nice but the owner and my friend both pushed me towards the AEM. Being that I wanted the silver look ayway and the fact that both of them have type s experience I bought the AEM. NO regrets. My car is much faster, and louder, in v tec. When I was leaving, Adams wife and kid pulled up in a aegean blue tl-s on 19's... I need 19's.

So, maybe I would be the first to dyno an Injen CAI on a CLS
