Which intake is best?

Hey guys, what's the best intake for me? I had one on my Civic (first car) 4 years back and really liked the sound and increased hp. When looking at one for this car, i'm confused as to which one to get. autocarparts.com has 2 listed, a AEM and Injen. The AEM has a air bypass valve. What is this used for and do I need it?

Also is there a noticeable difference in having the intake on this car or not?

What are some other easy, lower cost, & effective performance upgrades I can do?

Thanks inadvance for any help!

Ok the bypass valve from AEM protects your car from sucking in any water into your engine, thus destroying it. the $40-$45 bucks is well worth it compared to 8 k for getting the whole engine from the dealer. I bought the AEM CAI in blue, with the bypass valve and I love it. Its real noticeable when driving, prob just like your Civic.

AEM hands down.

I guess I agree, but that’s only true because you can’t buy the XEPHYR anymore.

The X-man made a great product, but his customer service sucked.

You can use the AEM Bypass on the Injen CAI I think.

i second Shawn's Xephyr response...this design is kickass and almost impossible to have anything go wrong with it...it's too bad that era has come and gone maybe we'll get a Limited Ed. version in gold or something couple red racing stripes down the pipe on a white background maybe must have Xephyr's signature's on it with a small product # plaque

What about the Weapon - R products? I have read quite a few good things about the various intakes they offer.

Thanks for all the advise guys! Looks like AEM it is!

I'm going to try and find a local place first before I buy it online. Anybody know a place on the web that has the best price on these?

Thanks again!
