installing V1 -- again

Just got my V1 w/ remote display today. Gonna try hard wire it tomorrow. My questions is, how do I get the A-Pillar piece trim off? Seems like that thing is pretty hard to get off... dont want to pull too hard and break it.

thanks

If it is on the CL-S or actually I think the new cl's, it comes off with a little tug. If you are facing it, I believe the tabs are on the left...so pull from the bottom left? You should check on this, but when I pulled my sister's, that is what I did.

He is correct. I did mine and simply pulled it off. I think I grabbed from the windshield side but I am not sure it matters. Just pull gently and you will not break anything. Watch out for little cardboard stuffing pieces inside - you will need to keep them where they are - I think they are strategically placed rattle defeaters.

When reattaching the pillars use a credit card or other piece of plastic to help control the rubber moulding like thing from getting caught by the trim. Putting it back is more of a problem than taking it off.
