Installing a shift light--need help!
Installing a shift light--need help!
I bought a Proform adjustable RPM shift light that uses the existing tach. You just turn the dial to the point at which you want to shift and it lights up without the use of a big ugly tach.
It has a black wire, red wire and green wire. One is a ground, one goes to the tach terminal on an electric ignition and the other goes the ignition switch. What do I have to do to run all the wires and make this thing work. Do I have to mess with the ECU? Please anyone with any info or has installed a shift light before let me know, before I take it to someone that'll charge $200.

Ok, so can anyone tell me where the ECU is located? Is it right beside the main fuse box under the hood? And also, where the electronic ignition is located ( i need to run a wire to the tach terminal) THanks!!!!!
Hey thanks alot Scalbert for taking the time to snap a shot. I appreciate it. I can't believe that nowhere in the owners manual does it tell you where the ECU is! Is the ignition easy to get too?
