Installing Polarg bulbs

I don't get this link:

http://wizardsworks.org/chod/acura/

I'm not really sure why you removed the housing to change from stock bulbs to the Polargs. All you have to do is read the manual and it instructs how to remove two plastic clips that hold the splash guard on. After removing, just reach inside, turn the socket & remove; replace bulb, reinsert...blah, blah, blah. Took me about 5 minutes to do both sides.

Yeha but that requires u to go underneath the car... The easiest way is to get a long philips screwdriver and unscrew it form the side... The housings come right off......

That's also what the HELM service manual says.

I got that yesterday 01-02 version. My bro did the change for me when I first got the car and he just looked and used a screwdriver, no faq, no manual, no handbooks. It's simple!

SK, I just got the car back and checked the hosuings to see if I got the scorch marks, still no problems.

Uh, YOU try taking decent pictures of yourself reaching under the
splash guard!

But seriously, I like the ability to SEE what i'm doing, versus
just reaching up and doing it blind.

I tried it both ways and I could never get the screw in the lamp housing to release. After looking underneath and installing CAI, it was so much easier to reach or remove the splash guard and do it that way, that I couldn't believe it. I wouldn't do it any other way now.
