Installing New Shift Knob

I am planning on install the Burl Wood Shift Knob. How hard is it? How do you do it? Should I just let the dealer do it?

I can answer this one:

It's so easy.

Just twist HARD counter-clockwise...we have a really long thread so keep on twisting.

by the way, the dealer refused to do it for me..so I had to tackle the delimma myself.

I heated the chrome part on the base of the knob with a hair dryer and then I twisted VERY HARD to start the un-threading.

Definitely do it yourself, but it is kinda a pain in the ass. You have to twist pretty damn hard and many, many rotations. Put a lil something into it, it won't brake

I have one on my TL and I'm assuming it's the same as the CL/CL-S..
