Installing mufflers....
Just got the '03 mufflers to replace my '02 mufflers. I was wondering how to install them myself.
Anyone got step by step or DIY instructions?
If its too difficult, i'll just bring it to the dealer.
Thanks
Bern

also you might want to get a new set of washers for the insides of the pipe where it bolts on, mine were all rusted and just chipped apart and fell out when the original muffler came off. they are probably dert cheap though.

ill give you some simple step by step
1. make sure you are physcially capable to crawl under where the exhausts are and able to use your hands. if not then use a jack and jack the rear up maybe an inch
2. make sure the car is cold, in other words dont work on it if the car was just started. if you are coming home from work give the car a couple hours to cool down.
3. wear a long sleeve you dont care too dearly about and as an option wear some form fitted disposable vinyl or latex gloves
4. spray wd-40 on all 4 bolts and all 4 hangers.
5. un bolt the exhaust from the b-pipe, then remove entire muffler with the hangers on them.
6. remove old hangers and insert them on new mufflers, then hang the new muffler first. Then bolt it back on. Work on the other side the same way, make sure you tighten and you are done

what sidemarker saidit'll be nice to have liquid wrench.
im getting my CT exhausts in the mail tomorrow, and i called comptech to see what size the bolts were. he said i needed 4 10x1.5x35 hex-bolts, 8 10mm flat washers, 4 10x1.5 crimp-net nuts. i didnt get crimp-net nuts just got regular nuts, and everything together was $2.15 @ home depot. can't wait to install them
oh yeah liquid wrench will really helpful to have..wd-40 works too if you dont have it
