Installed GReddy Evo2

I made the jump to a cat-back exhasut on my car this weekend!

Noticed no one has really posted a video of what the GReddy system sounds like on our CL.

Enjoy!

Oh Yeah those canisters are HUGE!!! I have them jammed up right against the rear subframe and the bottom is level with the mudflaps

At first when I got them in the mail I looked at it was was thinking "shit, these are bigger than those HKS Draggers and those are LOUD"

I was pleasantly surprised to find out the sound very tame though when cruising around and give a nice aggressive "Get outta my way" when passing lol

As an afterthought...should I expect them to get louder/deeper when it gets warmer and I through my CT headers on?

Yeah, they are huge, including the tips. I actually had my stock mufflers fitted to the Evo B pipe and it sounds much better for my tastes.

^ Wouldn't it just have been cheaper and made more sense to just run a custom exhaust from a local muffler shop...?

Can't they make B pipes for little cost?

That's what people were always telling me when I was going to buy the Comptech B Pipe. (waste to buy name brand)

Basically. It's a pipe and two flanges.

Yeah...so what you are saying is that it's a relatively simple piece to fabricate.

^ Yeah...awaiting additional funds.

I might do the B pipe at a shop and connect up to Comptech Cat-Back.

Everybody keeps telling me to go custom from Comptech Headers to Comptech Axle-Back.

Not sure what to do...second option would be cheaper.

Noah, i dont think you need to do custom B-pipe. your not FI, so not a big difference. and i like to keep a little backpressure to help out with the torque sometimes too.

Yeah...a lot of people said I didn't need it which is why I didn't buy it before when I had the chance.

wait a second, you have a CT cat-back or axle-back?! you mention both...
if you have a CT cat-back, why would you need a csutom b-pipe?! doesnt the cat-back come with mid-pipe, b-pipe, and mufflers?

true but you could increase the pipe diameter a little bit, up to 2.5in, because if you're not FI then the best way to increase HP on a N/A car is through efficiently getting the spent gases outta the engine as quickly as possible

I have neither...I was considering both options.

Cat-Back from what I know doesn't include the B-Pipe.

how is it considered a "cat-back" then if it doesnt include the b-pipe? what do they give you in the kit? a mid-pipe and mufflers?!

i thought all cat-back systems come mid, b and mufflers?!

Hmm...well I am not sure but I thought they sold it separately.

I was trying to find the setup but...this was a Comptech Cat-Back setup for a 3rd Gen TL....

No mention of B-Pipe (which they don't even make anymore)

Adds 8hp at the wheels
T-304 stainless steel cat back exhaust system
Dual polished stainless steel mufflers
Dual 4" polished resonated tips
Center section is 2.5" diameter with a polished stainless steel resonator
Application: 04-07 Acura TL

Yep, but I had the Greddy on there for 2-3 years until I decided it was too much for me. The way it's made now too is that I can switch out the mufflers at anytime.
