installed front springs

I finally got around to install my springs and shocks. I only had the chance to do the front because my spring compressor broke. I'll be doing the rears tomorrow.
I just wanted to know, why the steering wheel feels a bit mushy now, compared to stock. I do have a front strutbar and it was pretty stiff turning it left and right in place [stock].
