Pics time

This was taken at the shop right before they put the bumper back on and '3.2 VTEC' plastic front head cover.

When I heard the first time the beast fired up, I had a BIG on my face. It became a mean machine

I didn't get on it neither I want at this time, however it pulls at partial throttle

Here is the CT header sits perfect and wideband Bosch sensor installed for Zeitronix unit.

The complete reservoir and plumbing goes down through the trunk.

And IC plumbing wrapped (just in case) to prevent from heat coming from the left CT muffler. The distance is enough, however I still insisted.

More pics coming this weekend (incl. before and after) and other interior details since I want to take pics in a sunny afternoon

Indeed! Very Cool and nicely done. I'm dying to get mine finished. Want to see the rest of the pics and am very curious about what your dyno numbers will be. Excellent!

the radiator mounts are from www.v6performance.net they are made specially for the av6... they make a few other applications. not sure if those would fit our tl/cl's.

Also, those polished radiator holders should fit fine on CLS.
And as far as ground kit, there are two (NA and SC) and despite the fact it listed for AV6 I don't see any issues for sc CLS. If someone going to order make sure you specify you have a SC car.

On the side note I've heard a b-pipe sound on 'JohnTypeS' CLS parked at my installer shop last night and I love it. I definately get one and dyno before/after (spring).

I think anywhere 24"-36" from the engine block is appropriate for the wideband.

That is approximately the same position of where I had my WBO2 sensor.

I was planning on putting mine a tad bit closer to the primary O2.. ya know. before the flex piping...it was just a question.. I thought that was a little far back the way you have it.. but I like it...

Well, its working fine and Zeitronix data is nice to have. One thing is for sure there is no room for electric cutout. Or I just get the b-pipe sometime in the future and open up the exhaust.

Hey , 02AV6... when you changed your heads over the the cls heads on your motor... did you use your old valve/head covers? just wondering if your old head covers fit the cls head. to lazy to do a cross reference between the the two honda's. thanks.

Bye the way, good tip on advertising my cls cams on the v6net web, sold it in a couple of days. Thats quite a different crowd over there, I must be getting old or something. hehe.

one more thing. did your shop have a chance to look over the pics of the axels I sent you, if so, what do they think?

No, I used CLS head covers that came with heads. As far as AV6 covers I can check it out for you tomorrow if they have similar dimensions.

on cams sale. Yep, Accord guys love 'em

The main guy couldn't look at axles due to his PC crash
I'll give him the print out and let you know asap.

ThinJim,
My installer finally looked at your pics and confirms no visual difference in driver/passenger side axles between CLS and AV6. While not 100% positive he still believes the best way to do is to test fit your axles on my car and go from there .

In addition, he suggests to stay away from DRIVESHAFTSHOP due to bad customer service and overall product. Further, he exemplifies the case with NA B18 breaking 2 axles on the track made by them and refusing to take it back and send the replacement . SAE dynos were provided to support the power claim along with pics to understand the customer has requested the correct axles Stage. Bottom line - bad experience.

So whats the solution? The shop highly recommends HASPORT in AZ who also make engine mounts and had nothing but great product and cust. service . And the price he says is almost 1/2 less then DRIVESHAFTSHOP. BTW since bunch of guys here doing custom setup, I'm sure HASPORT can made custom engine/tranny mounts based on stock units provided

Finally, covers from J30A1 heads can fit your fine
Lets talk about it in PM.

About my ride - first oil change tomorrow (200mi) along with E-manage resolution and adding EGT + BOOST sensors for wideband. If everything fine, I'll drive more to get the 1000mi mark then DYNO

TAX SEASON
Unfortunately, this is a not a good time to put more miles on this non-daily driven vehicle due to busy business schedule including occasional travel. That, plus my extra time if any left I assist my wife (CPA) with income tax clients and its going to continue until April 15th (gotta earn some extra cash).

Regardless, this Saturday I'll drop my car for CL-S axles fitment (thanks to ThinJim) and report back the results. Yet, due to lack of time, I finally going to hook up E-Manage. make it work and put more miles on it (currently around 750mi).

So nothing exciting yet, however I promise after April 15th it would be lots of fun:
a. Dyno scheduled (incl. video) - April 16th (Dynojet SAE)
b. Will try to make a street racing videos (I hope my wife doesn't see that) , and more pics.
3. Will get Tein SS coilovers, Rotora BBK, custom axles and put back on my Centerline RPM rims with good rubber (gotta be ready).

And excellent allmotor job on 5AT CL-S turbo

Just tell everyone they're getting extensions this year I fully understand and appreciate the crunch you and your wife are going through. Thanks for the update.

Axles update:

Unfortunately, my shop informed me tonight both CL-S axles are too long and won't fit my AV6 . The difference is about 14mm (9/16 in), therefore I'll have to order custom axles on my own without you guys as planned. HASPORT is the company I consider.

I'd like to thank ThinJim for providing CL-S axles for fitment test.
Also, I posted a positive review in transmission section for those who asked regarding Dr. Evil.

Finally, as I mentioned due to hectic work schedule until April 15th I won't be spending much time here with you guys. However, dyno scheduled on April 16th then fun begins with pics, videos and reviews

Much props to Scalbert for his hard work, dedication and advice as well as others who I asked specific questions.
You guys rock!

I finally found the time to make E-Manage work

Believe it or not I'm still around 900mi with this new engine, however it feels great and car pulls under 3K rpm much better with E-Manage. I'm sure it'll run great over 3K, just never took it above that yet.

I'm in urgent need Rotora BBK since my brakes now are worthless and cannot keep the car. I've been in contact with 'Excelerate' who's currently having a group buy on it and I'm getting a good deal on Rotora BBK and Tein SS w/Pillowball by purchasing both at the same time

So April is coming up fast and I'll drive more soon, just still busy as I mentioned.
Had a chance to talk to HASPORT regarding axles .... they're not going to make it a single unit or under 500 , so I have to deal with DRIVESHAFTSHOP. They told me they make the best they can to avoid any confusion/issues with quality/price, so will see about that.

Till next post ...

Rising from the dead

I've had a Redline synthetic oil change at 1050 mi and still drove home normally.
Later on I decided to get on it and try highway. Guess what...

HOLY SHIT! My baby flies at WOT, the boost is instant and pulls like mother *****. I passed the M3 and he was , later I pulled next CL 55 AMG to see if he bites regardless of the outcome, he did .

He heard my incoming blower, stared at my car, smiled then it was ON. I dropped in 3rd and we were side by side for about 3mi up to 130mph untill we catched the traffic. I could not believe it ... I need to dyno asap. How da hell can I be side by side with 493HP/519 TQ blown car

When I got off and pulled over and the nearest parking lot, I was surprised to see the IC being still cold while blower shaft hot to touch.
Wow! Words cannot describe the feeling. Steve, thank you very mucho . Most important Dr. Evil 4AT takes the abuse no problem

BTW, I need to pull some fuel on E-Manage, my wide band showed 11.0-11.2 at WOT. I will work on it when DYNO. Once I get my Rotora BBK/Tein SS w/P & EDFC and put back on my 17" centerline rims will take some pics and videos...

Stay tune...

Congrats on the quick car....keep in mind that even though the cl55 has more hp/torque its heavier so it takes more to move it down the road..anyway......let us know when you got some pics/videos of this in action..

Very true. I checked CL55 is heavy boat at 4,255lbs vs my at ~3200lbs and from the roll my car runs crazy . However, CL55 is a mid 12s beast thanks to the blower and crazy 516 lb-ft peak torque.

Good job on the AMG. If I'm not mistaken that is the same kind of car that beat a modified Cobra and that is on video.

You asked about the pulley and I see that you have the "max" pulley. What boost are you seeing? As for mine it is the Payn Tech pulley and it goes to 10 lbs. I don't know the actual size but you can call them and get the specifics.

I ran this coupe :

and the video you mentioned was about E55 sedan - same power though.
Keep in mind my run was from the roll. And had I not experienced that power I would have thrown the BS flag myself

As far as boost I see 10 lbs but my CR is 9.0 and displacement almost like yours
