The Group Buy is On!!

The Innovative Motor Mounts are done and Excelerate is taking orders NOW!

And to top it off, Excelerate got a sweet price of $300 for the full set of 3 mounts. That's front, rear and side!!

Dont know too much about aftermarket motormounts. Do they just provide less engine movement?

Damn you guys are lucky I paid $400 for just the front and rear.

Josh do you think you can ask Innovative to send me the side mount for free? We almost had the deal worked out with someone else, just curious if we can make it happen if not i'm willig to pay a little more.

Update for those who haven't seen it: Excelerate has extended the group buy until Dec 2nd.

Mods should this be stickied until then?

Yes, but you will have to pay more (not that much more...I think $30). Check out the last few pages on the thread in the Black Market.

Yeah they aren't the fastest in that sense. We all had to wait a long time to get them, took me months and some people half a year to get their mounts.

Any chance we can just get the side mount?

1/2 a year? that's ridiculous and completely unprofessional.

I'm not justifying Innovative's delays but I believe you are referring to when they initially had the mounts made for you guys. Most companies, in fact no company, will touch our mounts b/c it's not worth the investment. I think it's good that Innovative took the time to do so, even though it may have taken them a little while. Yes they do have some delays but the product is top notch and they have produced a mount that likely no one else would.

I should be able to get you the side mounts. It should be about $130 shipped.

On a positive note, I just called Innovative again and they said they have 30 boxes packaged and ready for shipment so I'm hoping today is the day.

That really isn't the fault of the GB. The manufacturer was designing a mount that hadn't been produced and design, production, test fitment, etc takes time. However, GB's allow customers to get a product at a lower price and sometimes help create a product for their car b/c of the quantity of ppl purchasing. It is the ppl who participate in GB's who help create new products that you will likely want.

Damn is there any way we can reduce the cost since I initially paid a higher cost being the first batch and all, going on a limb and supporting them? I was thinking $50 tops for the side mount.

I can probably go down about $10 but there isn't much room. Typically Innovative sells single mounts for $120-$130. Of course there is shipping charges too. I didn't have anything to do with the first time you guys bought these so I really have no way to bargain with Innovative for that. Sorry.

While I wish it would have been quicker, all things considered the wait hasn't really been that long. The biggest issues in the delay were:

1) took about 2 weeks just to get enough people to commit. And that was with what was almost a 3 week trial baloon.
2) originally we were only asking for front and rear mounts, which would have happended really fast. However, we were asked about whether we'd want a side mount as well. That took a few weeks to get the design and estimate, before we would commit.
3) Then we had some folks needing the 6speed mount. That meant getting someone to send theirs in for design and estimate. Again, we could have run with just the front and rear, but being the good guys we were, we wanted everyone to benefit from a GB.

This is not considering the final production, which included some basic R&D for 2 new mounts. And when you consider that from a volume and overall production schedules, this has really been a pretty quick turnaround.

The only gripe was that Innovative could have been a bit better at setting expectations.

So overall, seeing I was one of the primary drivers on this end, and in deparate need of mounts from day 1, I'm a happy camper!
