Incident with a biker.

I was driving home in my CL-S with my boss in from of me (we live nearby), so i see this guy on a bicycle swerving back and forth on the road, so i went onto the wrong side of the road to avoid him, as i am passing him, he he swirvers stright left at we and falls into my car. he had a seizure while riding his bike and fell in the car. his helmet hit just in front of my back right tire. Now i have a big dent in the quarter panel, that looks like crap. So i took it to the dearler for an estimate, $1000, and they have to repaint the most of the right side of the car in order to "blend" the new paint with the factory paint. And they have to put some bondo in. I feel like selling it and buying a new one, i would probally only have to pay $2,000 sound right? good thing there was a witness behind me and my boss in front of me. or this could look like i hit him and then he had a seizure.

i will have pics soon

John

Sorry to hear about the car and glad you had a witness, else you could have been in deep kimshi! How is the guy; OK I hope?. I ride mountain bikes mostly offroad, but I feel for the bikers riding on the road. I always give them a wide path when I pass them.

The guy is fine just a little scratched up. His brother said he had a similar acciedent a couple of years ago.

Bizarre! Are you going to make him pay for the damage? He did cause the accident after all.

That would be fucked up, he didn't have the seizure on purpose. I'm sure your insurance company will take care of most of it.

It will probably fall under your comprehensive insurance coverage. His auto policy would not pay as he was not driving. Not that you should pursue him for compensation anyway.
