IMRC dead

My IMRC (the actuator) is not moving when I rev the engine up. Also, I can move it by hand and it stays where I leave it. I think it should move back under spring tension.

I think the actuator motor is shot.

Update: Acura won't loan me a car for just this issue.

So, since I am at 40K miles, I am going to have the 45K service done as well, which qualifies me for a loaner car.

And, I am going to have them fix:
Squeaky sunroof (what is that tsb #)
Squeaky seats (crickets)

What else should I have them check while they have me by the shorthairs?

what else?

What else is on the punch list from your experiences that I should have them look into proactively? I want to get as much as I can in one visit.

Thanks, Chrisbert

Acura offers me a rental for the smallest things, even oil changes.

Kick them in the nuts for not providing one.

My dealer too.
It’s been that way since the first Acura I bought back in 1991.

I do have to schedule it a week ahead, but I don’t have a problem with that.

Well, I dropped it off this morning, and the service writer says "what loaner", I don't have any loaners. I told him the fellow who I talked to said no problem. So he tells me that guy needs an education. I told him not at my expense.

Anyway, the car is in their hands for the day, and I have a regular CL for a loaner. What a different feeling car! It doesn't feel nearly as quick as my S even though the quoted 0-60 times aren't that far off from each other.

It has black faced guages. They look like they forgot to install the guages; just one big black instrument cluster. Also weird it the interior is black, but the wood trim is brown.

Oh well, cannot complain too much. Free "rental car", and I have paid to rent a whole lot worse.

I'm sorry the CLS has spoiled you with its white-faced guages and "BROWN" wood...as opposed to BLACK WOOD?

Simmuh Donnuh

Uhhhh....
The CLS has black wood on black leather. The CLP I drove had brown wood on black leather.

So before you flame on there cowboy, read! Just found it odd that they combined the brown wood trim with the black interior.

See what happens when I get all worked up over nothing, he has to go and be nice about it! my bad bro! I just get irritated when folks talk down to the CLP as if it's not a competent car for the market...Gotta defend my ride ya know!

No problem. I think the CLP is quite competent. I was just noting the different feeling and visual cues. For long rides, the CLP is more comfortable that's for sure. This one only had about 16K miles on it so it felt "new" still too.
