They are importing the WRX to the states. It will go on sale this spring as a 2002 model. Edmunds recently did a review on it: http://www.edmunds.com/roadtests/fir...impreza/44865/

Yeah..where have you been? We are getting a de-tuned version of the car with 225hp I think. Also, we won't be getting those nice looking headlights that are on the Japanese version, instead we get one that looks more like a Neon.

The ones coming here are going to get those ugly round headlights. They are only going to get 227hp instead of the Japanese 240hp, and they are kind of small cars and there price is expected to be in the high 20 grand range. Is that really worth it?

Stock US WRX can do 0-60 in under 6 seconds, is turbo'd and ready for mods, AWD, truly neutral handling experience and MSRP is $23,995. Worth it? You bet. $10K in mods and you could have a supercar killer for under $35K.

This car is going to embarrass a stock CL-S at the stoplight. I DO NOT look forward to these guys eating my lunch.

I think C/D had a preview test on the WRX and Subaru's estimate on the 0-60 was 6.6. They do weigh about 3100 lbs due to the 4WD. You really think they're gonna be under 6?? I'd think 6.2 at best stock. But yeah... they can certainly be modded very easily with a turbo.
