Impact Wrench

I finally got to try out my Ingersol Rand Titanium impact wrench. I used it to change the wheels. It takes about 1/2 of a second to fully remove a lug nut. It's awesome! You just pull the trigger and before you get it pulled all the way the nut is off. I also used it on the A-pipe and cat bolts when doing the headers. It took all of about 20 seconds to remove the 9 bolts on the a-pipe. I also used it to put the wheel lugs back on. I had it on the lowest setting for that and just kind of tapped the trigger and let it coast to drive the nuts on. It worked out perfect as I only had to turn the bolts 1/8 turn or so to get them to 80 ft lbs with the torque wrench. The wrench also doesn't use much air becase it barely gets a chance to run.

I'd be afraid of scratching the wheel. I've seen too many wheels that are all marred up where the lugs go from impact wrenchs.

Ya, and I would never use an impact to put the wheels back on. I have a nice clicky torque bar I use for that. On some wheels clearance between the socket and hole isn't much.

Depends on the power of the impact wrench, but the bigger the better.

I inherited an air compressor when my dad passed, I just need to get 220v wired into the garage... I've been tempted to just sell the 220v and buy a 110 to replace it

Do you have any recomondations for a 110 that doesnt weigh all that much. I will have to lug it up and down stairs at my place. I think the wrench calls for 5 at 90PSI
