Immobilizer Removal.
Immobilizer Removal.
So, has anybody else here deleted their immobilizer? I have a J32A2 in my Civic, wired in the immobi, etc, but recently I have been worried that I may get stranded somewhere if my receiver goes bad or if I lose my key(happened before, but I found it :P).
So, I removed the immobi board from the ECM. It starts up just fine, only it takes about 3 seconds of cranking now, and I have to open the throttle a tad.
I know it's not a common thing to do...just wanted to see if anyone else has deleted theirs as well.
Thanks!

I'd rather have it then not. Harder to steal the car. If it works for you then cool. On A real CLS or TL, I don't see why anyone would do it. In fact I dont; think it's that easy on those cars since there are other systems involved.
You can't remove it on these cars. It's integrated into the ecu and there's no way around it. I tried for my swap as well. Only thing to do, is get an extra key and have it programmed. I too only have 1 key for it and fear of losing it.

wow i dont know how you got that deal...stealership tried to charge me $200 for programming and a key. I just bought a key that wasnt programmed LOL
Thanks for the replies.
I was certain some guys doing AT-MT swaps would have just bypassed the immobi in the MT ecm.
I didn't think so either. Just desolder the immobi board from the main ECM board, and it starts up with no immobi key
I have the Honda HIM to program keys and such, so it's not that I don't want to have the keys. If I had an immobi system manfunction, I wouldn't know unless I wired in a signal light into my car to inform me so.
Yes, I am running a stock CL-S 6 ECM.
Yes, the car does rip pretty good. Very smooth power and it still handles amazing! It's my track car for the season
