i think you'll take him. the crossfire is just ugly looking, i don't like it much. its just a funny car.

 

i test drove one and it wasn't bad. he may take you off line but you should catch him in 2nd gear.

 

well, today my brother was in front of me as we are going onto us301 and he punches it. i was unable to go yet because of traffic and by the time i could go he had about 4-5 cars on me. i reeled him in faster and faster until i passed him easily as i put it into 4th. he let off once i was a car ahead and doing about 125. now he dont even want to race at the track since i put it on him that bad, but we are still going, so i'll keep ya posted tomorrow....

 

well all i have to say is i got a lot faster times then what i thought and i only lost to a 2004 ford lightning and a duramax deisel with a fuckin labtop in it and both only by 1 car length.
14.59 @ 96.6mph. my brother 15.0, but i beat him by 1-2 car lengths everytime..haha
i ate up a fixed up cobalt ss,2- miata turbos, rsx turbo, nissan altima se-r, and a 2003 cobra, but he didnt know how to drive cause i beat him by 2 cars!

80 degrees out side and about 70% humidity. not bad, being an automatic, and just a custom intake and straight exhaust in bad weather..now i need headers and a pulley to put me where i wanna be..

 

I walked on one 4 times on the freeway.
I have an 01 CL-S with just suspension and cai and I kept killing this guy..He was being a dick and I would even give him a head start and still blow past him. For a car that has 215 they are damn sad. I think they overrated that engine..prob. should be 180 max.

A regular x-fire in auto or 6mt form is SLOW. Any CLS should be able to take it. The problem lies in the HUGE & heavy wheels they have. That's a lot of rolling resistance to over come from a 215HP engine.
Now an SRT6 is a different story.

You know I was thinking about this thread the other day when I saw a crossfire on the highway. This guy had some work done to it and I have to say that it sounded good for a Mercedes engine... Lowered a bit on what looked like stock rims. Strangely enough there was an open stretch of 3 lane highway ahead of us. I mean no cars for as long as the eye can see (well at least until the turn 1/2 mile away). He notices me and I look over. He points at the highway ahead and motions to see if I want to race. I nodded and we both slowed down to just around 40 mph. Classic 3 honk and go. I was a little late on the throttle but to no amazement, i reeled him in and passed him like he was standing still or so it seemed. My buddy was with me it gets him super excited whenever I actually get lined up against someone. We slowed down again and instead of a good job, he motioned that he wanted a rematch. I was OK with it and so I we lined up again at 30 mph (damn is that slow on a highway). This time I got on her right away and pretty much just saw his headlights in my rearview the whole time. We took the same exit and I heard him shouting from behind that he likes my car and completely underestimated me. I said thanks and just rolled away when the light turned green.

 

don't you just love how people underestimate the CL
