So I ordered an '04 Infiniti G35 coupe (6mt, premium, aero and navi) back on January 3rd.

Salesman calls me today to tell me that the car has arrived at the dealership.

I think to myself, "so what?", like I couldn't give a shit.

Somehow, I lost interest in buying the car during the last 3 months. But I have no idea how or why that happened. Don't get me wrong, I think they are AWESOME cars, but I now realize that I don't want to buy ANY car right now.

The really fucked up thing is that this car was ordered thru a friend of my brother (who works for Merceded-Benz) as a favor and is priced at exactly dealer invoice price.

And I still don't want to go pick it up. Am I just having buyer's remorse before I even bought it?

Yeah, I'm sure they can sell the car for a higher price than I was going to pay... no doubt about it.

As for the interior, I'm one of the minority group that actually likes the current interior. I love the pop-up navi screen and the rotating/sliding air vents. I'd bet my left nut that you won't see those on the "new" interior that is supposed to be on the '05 model.

 

its just a G35. I'd get something better than that. Its an upgraded Z with still a bad interior.

Bag it and get something cool.

 

I know the feeling with seeing all these cool cars like the new RL, M45, new GS, etc coming out.. Just get the car. You will enjoy it.

That's why I lease though. I get bored of my cars very quickly, so I like to keep it fresh every few years.

Me, I'd have to buy it on principle, being what u made other people do for you. But a lot can happen in 3 months.

 

Don't want the car, then cancel it.....whether it was a favor or not its still a car sale. In sales, no matter what you're selling, you win some and you certainly lose some. They'll end of selling the car to someone else. And if the price they gave you was so great, then they'll make out better selling it someone else anyway.

Thats all the G35 is. A Z with infinti badges and a lil more buldge instead of sharp lines. I think the Z looks better.

I dunno about that.... But one thing is for sure- I have NEVER had a change of heart on a car that I've wanted (and waited for) so much, and then turned around and decided not to buy it.

Yes, it IS happenning..... we have pre-press photos of the new interior... similiar in a very small sense to the Altima 05... but flashier and more angled.

Still unsure as to whether it is on the 05 G, or going to come as a mid-year change to the 04. My bet is 05.

It won't be listed in that press release - that is only for major model announcements. The G interior is a minor announcement to Infiniti... it won't have an official press release until the day it's on the car...
