im furious .. Zaino'd last nite, and today it rained

the car doesnt look quite as bad as it wouldve if it had rained before the zaino, most of the water just rolled off .. but its still dirty

the worst part is, i got up at around 10 and looked outside and the rain hadnt quite stopped yet, for me to go scrape the water off with the blade .. and then i get up 2 hours later and it is almost 80 degrees outside and all thats left is water spots

you're right, it is shorter than the stock, however i've had it in there for a couple weeks, regular driving, (which is fairly aggressive) and the roads here in south bend are a nightmare .. it has been perfect, no problems yet.

I brought out the hose and hosed down the car .. then i brought out the blade and scraped off the water, then i hand dried it .. all the spots were gone!! and it was lookin as sharp as yesterday after the first coat of zaino z2 .. then I zaino'd it again!!! WOW i can save the 30 seconds i spend checkin myself out in the mirror before going to work everymorning .. all i need to do is step in front of my car

yesterday? you mean after the rain? no ..

I drove through a car wash on saturday mornin though, and let them use whatever they use .. but i didnt go through the dryer, instead i let it air dry on my way back home and then hand washed it bit by bit using the Zaino soap concentrate and the clay bar. gawd that works wonders, the car looked like a million dollars after that hand wash w/o anything else on it. then i applied the z1, and then the show car wax coat 1 ..

then it rained

then yesterday i just hosed it down .. no soap .. just a jet of water to remove the dust and then hand dried it

I zaino'd this weekend too and it rained like 30 mins after I finished! I just waited until it stopped and used the cleaning spray to get the dust off. It's smoother than when it was new!

Are you using the Z-6 after you do the Z-2? The only spots I ever have would be if the car was dusty and then it dried, but they would be dust spots and not water spots.

Once you get setup, the Z6 is great at removing water spots. (Although I don't know if you live in Acid Rain Central).

oops

so this time, after I wash it (get the dust/spots off) do I do another coat of Z2 .. or go straight for the z6?

If it was me, I'd Z-2 and then Z-6. The more coats of Z-2/Z-6, the wetter the look, the shinier the car. In addition, nothing sticks to it and what little does stick, washes right off. On my 99 300M, I could Z-2 and wipe it off in about 45 minutes as long as the weather conditions were right. It's all up to you and how you want your car to look.
