If you have a 6speed, consider this...
remove stock intake silencer (no CAI since icebox later)
3.5L Rick Case upgrade with low-compression pistons
Headers
UR pulleys
cat-back exhaust
Comptech supercharger / icebox
If that doesn't put you over 300 at the wheels, nothing will.
Just don't forget suspension, brake, and tire upgrades to handle the power. =)

see only 1 problem...if you do all that work to your engine...what about your transmission. thats the only thing thats stopping me from gettin the 3.5 and the supercharger. I dont wanna spend another 3-4 grand on tranny and clutch work

I would think the tranny would be fine, considering Honda manual transmissions are some of the most durable out there.
Get a tranny cooler and Redline ATF to help a bit.
I guess the clutch would be the weak point since no one yet makes aftermarket ones for it. Hmmmm.

Absolutely ridiculous to do all this to a brand new 32,000-dollar “Luxury Coupe” that weighs 3,500+ pounds.
Not to mention that your entire powertrain warranty is void.
You’re going to have 45,000+ spend by the time you’re done.
You can get a “stripper” M3 for that.
Doing this to a 2001 with 50,000+ miles that you picked up cheap would make more sense.
Swap out the Tranny for a 6-Speed when you do the 3.5 conversion and you’re all set.
Or, if SPEED is the main concern, you can pick up a 95-Mustang GT for 15 Grand that will SMOKE this little 45,000-dollar project.

Or better yet
Give me the money and then we will go out back and I will kick you in the nutz and call it a day... LOL..
What you put into the car you will NEVER get back out of it, and 25 years from now I highly doubt these cars will be considered Classic or Antique cars.... Save your money for your next big purchase.. Because there are very few people in the world that are gonna come find you and pay you 50K for a Acura CL that you beefed out.... I seen this once before, this guy beefed a Mitsu GSX, I mean he did everything you could imagine, he had some kind of Camelian paint, that changed with the way the light refracted off of it and everything... The guy was asking like 48K for the car...needless to say it is sitting in his garage because he can't afford fuel for it....
All in fun fellows, but it would be nice to see that work put into one.. You could say your the fastest CL around... but nothing but old farts around here drive CL's except a few of us fellows... Well I am 26, I guess that is old...LOL... No matter what you do, someone out there is faster than you... but it still would be tits to do...LOL

after hearing about the maxima running high 12's...
who will be the brave soul who throws a 100 shot on i/h/e equipped 6spd w/ slicks?
someone needs to step up.
p.s. - it won't hurt the car, no worries

Just don't forget suspension, brake, and tire upgrades to handle the power. =)
