This poll is only a "wild hair" thought (from reading TypeR’s post about the RES manufacturing “scale” issues [2400 units vs. 1000 units]) and I wonder if the CNC shop would consider doing a smaller run (1000 units) if there was an incremental price increase. The question is how much. So, this might be “useless”, but I’m going to toss this out anyway (what could it hurt?).

How much would you pay to get the first of the “tested” RES units?

If you think that the part is only worth so much or have additional ideas, toss them in.

BTW, I haven’t talked to Doug (syncivic) about this…

How about I see a dyno or two before I pledge money to something that basically doesn't exist!!!!!!!!!! At least scalbert had pics. The only pic I have seen of this one is the one from SEMA. When I see it, I will believe it!!!

All we have to go on is some early dynos claiming 15/20. If those were true and it's Carb certified and doesn't affect warranty, i'd pay up to $500. I'd like the Torque.

You're being too tough on yourself...

Here is an early link: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...&highlight=RES

RES or Resonant Enhancement System

Search by user = "syncivic" and use the term MM (mystery mod) or RES and you might even get some dyno graphs too...

Hell I drive an Accord and I'd pay $400 for 1/2 to 3/4 of the gains you guys get!

Think about the price of an exhaust and the gains you get, and then ask yourself how much the RES is worth.

No that's a stupid thing to do. Why compare it to a mod that's primarily a sound mod not a power mod and try to say the RES, a power mod, should be priced accordingly? It's thoughts like that that lead to overpriced headers.

I would also pay $300 but I'm with Aztec... Let's see some Dyno's on this new production model. There have been design changes since the last dyno, correct?

I am with you on that one, lets not start the auction over
something that doesnt exist yet. I'd say if Doug needed our help, he would have posted on this board...There are plenty of other
CNC shops, that will take on the task.
My old man used to say, don't believe it until you see the dynos...

I think it's a cheap bastard inside of me talkin...

Send me one in California and I'll pay to get my car smogged to see if I pass the new Smog II standards. Would that qualify for CARB cert?

the bummer about the "smog police" is:

They don't just care that it meets emissions; they care how it was done... (a very long and sad story...)
