take it in, they will flush it or replace it.

i went and mine was black and they flushed it out 3 times. it runs smoother, but really it is just prolonging the problem, i can already feel it slowly going back to where i started. the rough and ackward shifts. oh god why the tls.

yes, as soon as they flush it it's going to start having problems within 200-300 miles.

Mine was the color of used motor oil once. (one of the 3 trannys I've had) heh

Don't spend any $$ flushing it...

Why are you so freaked out? Odds are your tranny is going or gone. You sound surprised. Some people are on their fourth tranny. It's not like it wasn't expected. Take the car to the dealer and they'll most likely replace the tranny. Until then, relax.

You could have just overheated the transmission.

I have had that happen on a manual, smelled like burning, shifted like crap. The fluid came out looking like coffee.

Just think that new ECU will never see a 14.2 run

If the fluid is black, that's not a good sign.

If you did have the check engine and vsa lights come on, a code should have been thrown. That in itself should be enough to get you a new tranny.
