three weeks ago the dealer replaced my IEC valve. The car in idle would jump in rpm from 1k to 3k rpm, when i was driving it was fine, intake was sucking alot of air at the car bucked a little unless i applied a little bit of throttle. 2 days ago the same thing happened and the car had the same issues. when i got to the dealer, it magically fixed itself, dealer cannot duplicate the problem and it hasnt done anthing since then. has anyone else had IEC trouble ( i searched, but IEC isnt a long enough phrase to search for).

 

Try seaching for IACV... (idle air control valve).

The IACV is usually the cause of a surging idle, but if they already replaced it, you would think that wouldn't be the problem.

I had my car act up one day this past winter, and it's been fine since. If you car only did it once a couple of days ago, I wouldn't worry about it until it can be easily duplicated so the dealer can see it for themselves...
