Idling problem

Have 6spd MT and am having idling problems when the car is ice cold. It goes from about 1k to 2k up and down when I don't even have my foot on the gas. Anyone have a similar problem? When the car warms up it is fine. I made an appointment with PAA to have them install my Comptech headers, fix the emergency brake (Becoming way to loose), and check out the idling problem.

Nope.. Don't have that problem. The service sheet for the car said you have to let the ECU set the idle when the ECU loses power (battery disconnected, fuses, etc).

Basically, you can do it yourself. Disconnect the battery for a minute to clear the ECU. Start the engine will all the lights, radio, HVAC, etc off. Let it warm up until the engine fan cycles twice (indicates operating temp.). Idle it for 10 minutes, and then it's done.

You can try that to see if it fixes you problem.
