Idea for 5 watt driving lights

Has anyone considered led wedges?

From what I have read these are brighter than regular bulbs and don't get hot.

Someone has tried the LEDs once. I think it was Aztecrol, or something. They were not nearly as bright as the 18w polarg/piaa. But these might be different. Do a search, there are pics of the comparison somewhere.

LEDs are not brighter than filament-burning lights. The problem with LEDs is light dispersal, they generally only shoot light in one direction (top). Some people fix this by shaving 1mm or 2 off the head of the LED. If you put them in, they'll look like lighted nipples.

I have the Piaa bulbs and love them. i was just looking for my brightness. My woman has an 03 TL S and her are crazy bright. kind of a thorn in my side because I think my 6 spd navi CL is so much cooler. LOL.

I tried the LED's ,the single bulb, 4bulb and the reverse ones and all of them were too dim and did not disperse the light evenly. Now I've got the polargs and I just use the LED's for the interior.

ive tried it as well and NOT WORTH IT!

espically if you get a blue color wedge because the lights will look purple. not a bright purple but a very low glowing purple that looks ghey!

when i put in my PIAA 18w bulbs it made the appearance a million times better!
