actually, it looks like the passenger compartment held together pretty well. if the person was wearing a seatbelt, there is a good chance that they lived.

says "hello to my TLX".
i hope i never have to see those airbags. bad accidents happen to even the best drivers.
edit: i'm surprised the engine isn't showing in the cabin (looks like it got pushed back enough from the front). but the center console sure is hanging out over the shifter.

looks like at least two of the wheels made it out unscathed. wonder if i could swoop em up cheap like. my girl has owned my wheels curbs countless times. oh and i hope they are OK.

dayamn. a few things i noticed:
the driver seat and passenger seat are no longer aligned.. driver seat unbolted? or snapped? or major undercarriage deformation from that tree/pole.
airbags deployed. (no SRS light problems on that car...)
looks like the fire department also cut the passenger side by the wheel well.. (why did they do that?)

Wow i hope they were ok but it really doesnt look good. The additional wood trim in the car makes me think that it very well could have been someone on the site. Its not a huge deal to throw a wood kit in but i feel like they would browse the net for it and come across this site as well

In the last picture you can see the cut marks at the bottom of the door frame to release pressure for the rams. The door was removed and the dash was pushed back out. Had to be two occupiants. There would be no reason to remove the passenger door and make that cut unless. I do hope they made it out safely.

Can't tell exactly how bad it was. Not while the car is on a lot somewhere. Fire rescue will tear a car a part to get someone out & the tow truck/yard will also not care what they do to it.
I've seen cars that have rolled & not 1 window broke, & then it gets to a lot & all the windows are busted. Or large dents & broken interior parts.

the 1st picture, that looks absolutely insane, like it's had an i-beam dropped on it from 200 feet and hit a redwood tree going 140 mph. like mr. steve said..if anyone survived that crash, serious props to Honda.
the 2nd one (not so bad) looks pretty bad to me too..only because i hit a tree going 70mph 8 months ago and my car looked, a little worse than that but it brings back bad bad memories. the seatbelt saved my life but almost killed me at the same time. lacerating my small intestine. i didn't know i had internal hemmoraging, figured it out soon enough though.
+ 1 for hoping the owners, operators, and passengers in these vehicles are still alive.

looking at the pics notice how the front end absorbed all the damage and the cockpit didnt crumple in like most cars. if he was in fact wearing his seatbelt, im pretty sure they made it out alive.
