I will never wax my car again!!!

by hand at least. I've always hand waxed my cars, but I decided to invest in an orbital buffer and it's the best investment I've made. No swirls, and a perfect deep gloss, which if you own a red one you know what I mean. It's a biatch to get red to look right. If you wax by hand, I recommend spending $40 at Sears and get the 10" orbital buffer and give it a try.

You must not use ZAINO because “polishing” by hand is never a chore compared to every other wax product I have used over the last 20-years.

Did you get THIS ONE?

I've been considering getting a orbital buffer. Maybe I'll pick this up before I give my car the works.

I've heard/read from mutiple sources that the only mechanical buffer to use is a random orbital model such as the Porter Cable 97355 as set up by Griot's. I've heard that other orbitals create more problems (swirls/burnt paint) then they resolve.

...and, as stated already, with Zaino products you don't need a orbital to get a trouble-free EXCELLENT result.

To be honest, waxing the sides of the car has always wore me out. I just find it so easy, with better results and to use half the time....the buffer's the way to go for me.

I have an old 5-wheel commercial grade office chair that I keep in the garage.
I intercepted it on the way to the dumpster where my wife used to work.
It looks like HELL, but it’s great to roll around the car for waxing and polishing the paint & wheels.
I can polish 80% of the car while sitting on my ARSE.

LAZY people like me always come up with the best ideas

if yer gonna use an orbital, make sure u know how to use it, otherwise yes, u will burn/ruin the paint...u may think i'm crazy, but go to yer local detailer, bring the orbital with u, and see if he can teach u...it won't take too long...plus, if he's nice, he'll give u some helpful hints to help ensure a professional look

the detailer i use actually holds how-to's frequently with the Porsche/Bimmer car clubs b/c they're fanatical bout detailing, just like we r

so PLEASE make sure u r well versed before attempting

NO, not winded, but being on my knees (like you during a performance review ) is a pain.
I got a trick knee from a bad skiing wipeout a few years back that bothers me when I stress it.

That buffer (in the link) will not harm the finish.... I have one myself, and anything more than a little pressure will stop the rotating action, although it will move. It's basically moron-proof.
