I want a BULLIT !
I know this is a little off topic but I just saw that Ford will be producing a 2001 Mustang Bullit GT. Now I can drive a legendary car and be cool like Steve McQueen. Well, at least I can be a legend in my own mind.

Im pretty sure they are in production already too because i have seen two around me (In a row with a few yellow and red Saleen Mustangs following them going to a big show) that look just like them. Unless they just got the same wheels, color, gas cap cover thing, etc. Not a bad looking car.

Yes, they are already in production and look pretty good. I think the motor is midly breathed on compared to my '00 GT and they do get the wheels (awesome looking, IMHO) along with a slightly lowered suspension and some other functional tweaks.
Got my latest issue of Automobile yesterday, and the SVT Focus is looking like a winner.
As far as domestic reliability, I've been pleasantly surprised with the 'Stang. Nothing major has broken - well, I cracked a fog, but that was my fault, not the car's. A couple of minor things (rattling door speaker which I fixed, carrier whine from rear end - redline oil solved, speedo still not quite right on calibration - but I switched to 3.73's and that's a mid point between a 7 and 8 tooth speedo gear). Basically, just routine maint. and she's had a few passes down the strip.

I love the looks..............but after my 99 Cobra fiasco I have to remind myself that Ford service really sucks. No parts, no loaner, no manners! Basically it's a limited production stop gap since the Cobra has been delayed nearly 2 years with issues unresolved from the 99.

I wanted one, but it only has 270HP, only 10 more than CL-S. I'm sure it probably has more potential than the CL-s though.

I kind of agree with most of you guys when it comes assessing purchasing a domestic car. I also wouldn't trade in my CL-S for a Mustang because the CL-S is much more refined than the Mustang and makes a great daily driver for me. I just think this Mustang looks cool and find the appeal of a "Bullit" edition irresistible. I'd love to have this car as an occasional driver.

I do like the styling of the current Mustang, but I wouldn't buy one. The special edition Bullit does look nice as well. Problem with Mustangs is they won't last like Hondas, they cannot handle and I want the refinement the CL has. That and they have a "look at me!" feel to it, which I'm not one to absorb.

Ditto. Mustang screams prick to me. Especially the one who almost killed me last week. Its a Ford! What do you expect? They don't care about build quality or reliability... People will buy them if they were made of excrement from the same animal they are named after.
Hence no spoiler for me... I like having class. Mustangs don't, and never will.

No spoiler. No NAV either. No fat chics.
no "phat" chics either.
