I thought that Comptech was "Acura Friendly"!!!!!

When I took my car to the dealer, they said they can't work on aftermarket springs........but I thought Comptech was Acura Friendly:angry: So, should the dealer have to fix it, or not.

go to another dealer, thats total bullshit, the springs dont change anything about working on the car...not one bit..so its an inch lower...that doesnt effect anything as far as working on the car...it doesnt make it harder to work on

yea but they dont have to touch it. Since it voids the warrenty, cuz in this case they can actually prove its the comptech springs. So i really dont think he will get help from the dealer, unless he pays $

In another post he says that he took the car to the dealer and they said the clunking noise is from the springs. So the dealer says its the springs causing the problems.

Uhh remember most coilover kits, including the TEINs have a disclaimer that says they don't warrant the product for street use, only for race and show purposes... if u thinka dealer will give u the run around for springs, think tice before u accept the resposibilty of coilovers

My dealer (Lehigh Valley Acura) won’t touch Comptech parts.
That’s why I drove 90+ miles to get the Springs & Sways installed at Park Avenue.

My dealer HAS seen my car since I was done modifying it and I spoke to the owner of the dealership just last week.
They’re really impressed with what I have done with the car and said my warranty is FINE.
If the Springs or Sways cause a problem like bottoming out or strange noises, they have a beef, but otherwise I don’t see how they can deny coverage.

They probably denied coverage because I didn;t pay them 230 per spring to install them

I went to a different dealer, and they didn't like the fact that I had lowering springs. So i'm sure they automatically blamed the noise on the springs.......I took it to the place that put the springs on, and they looked it over, and they said its the brakes......so its back to te dealer tomarrow.

Good luck, you're gettin the run around. Makes me appreciate my dealer. They've installed everything but the exhaust, and i've never had a problem. They love Comptech.
