I need to lower my car BAD. Help...

So... my rims are here.

Their 19"s... thas all I'll say till I get them on with pics

Problem is... I've been to lazy to drop my car.

I had planned to go with Ground Control Coilovers... the GC Sleeve / Eibach Spring setup gave me some confidence bout them... but I'm having second thoughts. Afraid of the ride quality I'll lose.

BUT... I want a rake!

I'm not sure comptechs will drop it enough.

I cant get any spring that is even because of my system... I'm afraid my ass will sag. Yuck.

What should I do??

Go for the Ground Controls... the Comptechs... or other?

Man I never knew a skinnny boy like u could have an ass that sags.

Adam, I think if u get the Comptechs, the worse your car will look like is that it's level cause of the system u have. I wouldn't risk getting a set of springs that do a level drop at the risk that u'll get the sagging rear end. At least with the CT's u start off with a rake and worse u'll have a less of a rake or a level drop.

i recomend against sleves...if a spring has a rate that supports a 4.0 inch drop,it will be that stiff even if you only go 2.0...in addition if you go ..o.e sport 1.75,i think there rate will support yuor system no problem...

I'd say Apexi coilovers. They're not that much more, right? It'll be just like spending the money for Comptechs and Konis, well a little more, but at least you'll be able to get the exact drop that you want in the summer AND in the winter.

...OE Sport? You mean H&R? who told you OE sport is 1.75?? ...sorry i just meant sport H&R sport 1.75...anyway i heard the sleves rattle shift can cut into the shock body and...the rate will support the 4.0 inch drop they're capable of..meaning teeth chatter...i say sport if you want low...and not too much worry of your system...or comps if you wanna be safe...add system to level you out some

A friend of mine has ground controls in his RSX and the ride isn't too bad. It's a little firm, but not unbearable. Knowing that you have the option to change your ride heigth is worth the stiff suspension in my opinion. If you were to go with springs I'd get the Eibach's and if the back is a little too low with the stereo stuff in the trunk then trim half a coil off the front springs.

Just so you all know about the Konis--they are not adjustable on our car without wheel well modification (even then I'm not sure if they are). PLus, they are not supposed to be used on the lower perch with lowering springs. Just FYI.

I have the Koni Yellows on my car and I did NOT have to modify anything!!!! And I pop the hood and turn to adjust them all the time!!! The rears are under the back seat, so I don't adjust those too often. Not sure what you are talking about JZ!?!?!?!?!

I have lowered my CL-S with Eibachs and still on original rims. Car has settled alot and think you might have rubbing problems with 19"rims! Does anyone on this board have Eibach springs and 19" rims?! Goodluck!

Why can't u go lower in the Winter than in the Summer? What does weather like Winter have to do with droping? Sry I'm a Fla. boy, we really don't have a Winter (compared to u guy).

When there is snow on the ground, if you are too low, you will drag on everything and get stuck.

The main factor determining wether or not he will rub is the rim's offset. People have 19s that don't rub even with Eibach Sportlines, but these people have 19s with an offset of 48 or higher, usually around 51. I think the problem with 19" Axis Se7ens is that the highest offset they come in is 45.
