I need help too!!!
OK, Something is wrong with my car. I haven't started it in about two months. I needed to run to the store and want to check to make sure my batt is still good. It starts up fine. no hesitation at all. I try to back out of my garage and realize the gas pedal is stuck. so i get out, reach down and push it in with my hand and it breaks free and revs normally. this probably doesn't have anything to do with my problem, but I want to tell you guys everything that happened
So then, i notice thats it revving up and down by itself. it was revving up to around 2300 rpm for a few seconds and then die back down to 1k. then rev up again. So i let it warm up a little more. once it got warm, it was revving to nearly 3k rpms. so I drive it to the store anyway. once under way, it wasn't doing anything weird. it was just annoying stopping at every stop light with my car going...vrrooom.....vrroooom.....vrrooom.....vrroo oom.....vrrooom.....vrroooom.....
people were looking at my funny.
so anyway.
what do you guys think? should I disconnect the batt or something to resest the ECU??? I probably wont have time to touch it till sunday anyway. just wanted some suggestions. Thanks.

after the gas pedal broke free, it was fine. no stickiness at all. it was going down and coming all the way back up fine. I checked the throttle cables and they were fine and tight. I haven't been drivng my car cause I got a baby girl now so I use the Rav4L everyday.

I store both my fast rides for 6 months a year. I also start and move them every 2-3 weeks.
I would try some T-body cleaner in the air intake snorkle with the car running, easiest way is to remove the top of the air cleaner housing with the intake snorkle attached and spray intake cleaner with engine at 1800 rpm untill engine coughs and dies then let sit for 5 minutes and restart. This should unstick an idle control valve.
If this is too confusing or doesn't work see your local Acura/Import specialist.
